ANOTHER VIDEO! Yesterday, Phil, Jivan, Seth, Ashley, Andrea, and I went to Columbia to visit The Half & Half and to hear Debbie Millman speak. Nick Wilson at The Half & Half was awesome and answered any question we threw at him about printing, design, business, etc. It was so cool! After spending about two hours hounding him with questions, we headed over to the Convention Center to hear Debbie Millman speak. We ate some snacks and then heard one of the most intelligent takes on how branding has come to be what it is today. It was inspiring and mind-blowing. After, she was incredibly kind, by giving ThinkTank a shoutout and by signing our books (or lack thereof). We all talked to her for a couple minutes before heading out. For how successful of a designer she is, it was refreshing to meet her and know that she’s just as friendly and humble as our professors at school are. Talk about amazing!
